DJ XERO has been in the public eye for more than 7 years straight. Sometimes in the club dnacing, sometimes on the stage singing, and even in the booth spinning CD's. His life's passion has always been to entertain. He has taught in hip-hop classes. Helped train musicians and singers and even made a TV debut as a sock puppet. The stage was always his second home. His true home was the club. Now he DJ's for Christ.
The Ministry of DJism is dedicated to leading people to Jesus Christ through introducing them to music that promotes our Savior. There are tons of musicians out there who write songs to feed the spirit, encouraging those in need of a refreshed mind. Too many of us feel trapped by Top 40 Music, but someone has to provide an acceptable alternative. There aren't too many DJ's who are willing to drop the standard style of what's new, what's hot, and direct the crowd towards what's right and true.
I believe that DJ's are leaders. When we spin, our crowd hangs onto our headphones with anticipation of what's next. What we spin tells people how to think, how to dance, what to wear, who to talk to and more, but it isn't easy. A 'good' song can't just have heart, it has to be good in all areas to fit the DJ standards. We as DJs have a tremendous amount of power and we need to be more reponsible anout how we use it.
Tune in each week as DJ XERO explores the rare fields of "good christian music" in a podcast we like to call "The Ministry of DJism".
